Our Mission
Our goals
01
Empowering youth
We raise money for organizations that help kids live their best lives, and be their best selves. We aim to do this through focusing on health and wellness, alternative education, sports, and entrepreneurship.
02
Building a vibrant community
We believe that creating opportunities for kids to dream big & shoot big creates confidence and results in safer, more vibrant communities focused on building a positive future for everyone.
03
Hospitality for Good
We’re good at hospitality, throwing parties, and bringing people together. It’s time we turn our passion for hospitality into a vehicle for good. We’re bringing our special brand of hospitality to philanthropy to make it impactful & FUN!
How it all started
“Big Shooter” started as a term of endearment co-founder Josh Miles often used toward his son & employees. Conferred when someone was doing something “big” or displaying a “big” personality, it became a regular phrase around SCN Hospitality restaurants. It took on a life of its own. Eventually, we realized it can mean something deeper—going for it, feeling empowered to go for it, being encouraged to go for it. Conviction, confidence, and a full throat, full throttle YES. We all need the inspiration to live more boldly, to think outside the box, and to relentlessly pursue our passions and talents. And kids are in need of this most of all.
SCN Hospitality has been a fixture in Rochester food & beverage for over a decade, and its founders began to explore taking their passion for hospitality to the next level. How can we take what we do every day—what we’re good at— and make it mean even more?
The Shoot Big Project was born. We throw epic, exclusive charitable events and raise money to help kids realize their full potential—to encourage and empower them to pursue their passion, discover their purpose, and live healthy, joy-filled lives.
